API Access with Enphase

Enphase IQ Battery integration allows Lumin to manage circuits according to the battery's state of charge. As the battery is discharged below 50%, Lumin will disable designated circuits to increase battery runtime. As the battery recharges above 50%, Lumin will re-enable designated circuits at the same percentage.

Lumin users wishing to add an Enphase IQ Battery integration can do so by obtaining the Enphase system ID following the process outlined below.


In the Lumin Smart app:
1. Navigate to Battery Integrations via either option:
  • Option 1: Select the Menu icon > Location Settings > Battery Integrations.
  • Option 2: Select Smart Controls > Smart Power Mode > Add Battery.
2. Choose Add New Battery.The Battery Integrations screen of the Lumin Smart app.
3. Select Enphase from the list of storage solutions. 
4. Choose OK when prompted with a redirect notice to Enphase.The Select Your Battery screen of the Lumin Smart app. A redirect prompt asks whether to redirect to Enphase.
5. Enter your login credentials for Enphase.
  • Note that this login occurs on Enphase servers and Lumin does not have access to your Enphase login credentials.

6. To find the Enphase system ID(s), select the blue text that reads List of systems.An Enphase screen displaying information on connection access to Lumin.
7. Copy the system ID number from the new browser tab to your device's clipboard and close the tab afterward.An Enphase screen that contains the System ID and System Name.

API security: The API key provides access to information about your solar production, battery state of charge, and home energy consumption. Lumin does not store API keys centrally and has no access to your private key, which is stored locally on the Lumin device.
